For best results, apply to clean, dry skin using your hands or a tanning mitt. Use sparingly on elbows, knees, and ankles. Wash hands immediately after application. Your glow will develop over the next 4–8 hours.

No. Tallowtan is designed with clean ingredients and no dyes. Our formula uses a natural blend of DHA and erythrulose for a golden, even glow — never orange or streaky.

Yes! Tallowtan is safe for face and body. Just use a light touch on your face and avoid applying too much near eyebrows or hairline. For best results, moisturize dry areas first. We do have a face spray coming soon!!!!

Nope. We ditched that classic “fake tan” scent. Tallowtan has a light, creamy vanilla or fragrance-free option — designed to feel more like skincare than self-tanner.

Your glow typically lasts 5–7 days. Maintain it by moisturizing daily and avoiding harsh exfoliation. Reapply as needed to keep the glow going. We have a signature body butter coming soon!

Always check with your doctor first — but we’ve formulated Tallowtan without harsh chemicals, synthetic dyes, or common irritants. Many customers choose it as their go-to clean tan while pregnant.

We do not use bronzer dyes, so transfer is minimal. Let your skin fully dry before dressing. Opt for loose, dark clothing after application for best results.

Super easy to apply and gives a natural glowy tan in just a few days. I tried the light to medium shade and I think it is a great start, the perfect subtle tan. I am excited to try a darker shade next time! Highly recommend!
Like the consistency, but not happy to see they use Citric acid as an ingredient. Unfortunately wont purchase again
I was using the light medium to get a real good base on and then switched to the medium dark because I needed a dark tan for an event that I’m going to .

My tan is now so even and dark . Easy to maintain.
The light vanilla scent is not over powering . And the best part is that there are no chemicals .

Tallowtan does an excellent job combining skincare with glow. I’ve found a night time application works best for a deep colour. There truly is no tan smell. I also like the size of the jar (you get a lot of product and don’t need more than a quarter size for face, neck, and chest). I find I don’t need my other night time products as much (regular tallow cream, or hyloronic acid). I’m impressed.

I love the sun but I am fair skin. I don’t want to look wrinkly when I’m older so I use sunless tanners. FINALLY a product I LOVE and it is all natural! The color is incredible, just enough to sport a sun-kissed glow all year round. Because it is grass fed tallow, I know it’s balancing my hormones at the same time. This is my new year round shade. I am loving Tallowtan!! I have tried alll of the self tanners out there. They streak, stain and look anything but natural. Tallowtan is so easy to apply and dries almost instantly. The texture is luxurious, the color is beautiful! And I love that it’s buildable and the best part is knowing I’m putting a tanner on my skin that’s full of the good stuff, and no chemicals!!!

As a fair skinned individual, I have tried many self tanners, only to be left disappointed (with either the coverage, overwhelming smell, color, staining, etc). While I’ve only used Tallowtan a few times since receiving it, I honestly couldn’t be happier!! I apply it after my shower and can surprisingly see a difference within a few hours. It feels great on my skin and absorbs very fast, without the greasy feeling. The scent has a hint of vanilla, which is perfect. Tallowtan is NOTHING like anything else I’ve used. It’s top tier!!! I don’t usually use self tanners… but this changes things.
I tested the Light/Medium and wow — it was so easy. Dried in under 5 minutes, no sticky mess, and the glow looked super natural. It lasted 5 days before I reapplied, and my skin actually felt soft and hydrated the whole time. I’m impressed.
