Tallowtan is formulated with clean, skin-safe ingredients. The hero ingredient — grass-fed tallow — is as natural as skincare gets. We don't use ingredients that compromise your skin barrier or overall skin health.
Prep: Exfoliate and moisturize 24 hours before. On the day, apply to clean, dry skin using a tanning mitt in circular motions. Use sparingly on knees, elbows, ankles, and hands. Wash your hands immediately after. Avoid water, sweat, and tight clothing for at least 4–6 hours while developing.
Ultra Light and Light Medium develop in 4–6 hours. Medium Dark develops in 6–8 hours for full depth. You can rinse earlier if you want a lighter result — the longer you leave it, the deeper the color.
With proper preparation and daily moisturizing, your tan will last 5–7 days. Exfoliate before application and moisturize every day after to extend color life and ensure an even, gradual fade.
Yes — Tallowtan is safe for face application. Use a small amount and blend carefully around the hairline, eyebrows, and jawline. A tanning brush gives the most precise application on the face. Always use less than you think you need and build gradually.
Moisturize every single day — hydrated skin holds color longer. Avoid long baths and harsh exfoliants while your tan is active. Pat dry instead of rubbing after showering. Reapply every 4–5 days to maintain depth without buildup.

Ultra Light — for very fair, sensitive skin. Soft, controlled color that's almost impossible to overdo. Light Medium — the most versatile shade, a natural everyday glow for light to medium skin tones. Medium Dark — a warm, defined bronze for medium to tan skin or anyone wanting a richer, more noticeable result.
Yes — all three shades are buildable. Apply every 3–4 days for deeper, richer color. Start with one coat and assess after 8 hours before layering. Building gradually always gives the most natural result.
